Mythology was an integral part of the lives of the ancient people of Greece and the Peloponnese is a region rich in myths and legends surrounding their Gods and heroes. Stories were told of the wars they fought, kingdoms they ruled and heroic deeds done, and continue to be passed on today in plays, paintings and poems. Agamemnon's City of Gold at Mycenae, Ancient Corinth with its history of invasions and struggles for power, and the outstanding acoustics of the ancient theatre at Epidaurus, where plays and concerts are still held today; these are sites we can visit which bring Ancient Greece thrillingly back to life.

We'll discover ancient temples, cities and sanctuaries, enjoy countryside walking, and delve into the fascinating stories about the ancient Gods and heroes. There will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the hotel's pools and beach, and you may also wish to take a day trip into Athens to see the stunning Acropolis.

All leaders will have first aid training. Be assured, it's your holiday and so you really can set your own agenda. Join in with the days' walking and the afternoon activities if you want to or take a day or two for time on your own with your family. Your leader will be full of ideas to inspire you or you can simply kick back and relax!
