The Lyn Peninsula, Wales

In the far north west of Wales the beaches are flat hard sand, ideal for sandcastles and all the other good stuff to do on beaches; the sea is good for swimming and paddling. In between the beaches there are some beautiful hills and cliffs. When walking along keep an eye out for the many seals, they bask on rocks whilst keeping a lazy eye on tourists. Also keep an eye out for all the historical remains from when pilgrims came this way in their thousands back in the dark ages; there are plenty to be seen when you know what you are looking for!

Bardsey Island. The goal of the ancient pilgrimages. If the weather allows you should make the trip
Ty Coch (Red House) Inn on the beach at Porth Dinllean. Great for a drink whilst the kids work off some energy

Accommodation: We stay at the Woodlands Hotel, recently refurbished and 10 minutes' walk from the beach. You will be well fed and looked after!

Supplementary Information: Don't forget you'll have the full services of our fully trained and child-friendly hiking leader throughout your stay ensuring that you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday. All leaders will have first aid training. Be assured, it's your holiday and so you really can set your own agenda. Join in with the days' walking and the afternoon activities if you want to or take a day or two for time on your own with your family. Your leader will be full of ideas to inspire you or you can simply kick back and relax!
