Orienteering and exploring together... |  Amongst England's highest mountains and largest lakes, children and parents bubble with freedom and adventure. Leap over stiles and stepping stones on the trail of 'Swallows & Amazons', or bound ahead along magical forest paths with new-found friends. You'll find your own pace here, with time to linger beside ancient stone bridges, to spot elusive red squirrels and birds of prey. or to impress the youngsters by skimming stones! The warmest of welcomes, the heartiest homemade food, optional afternoon activities (don your helmet for the Honister Slate Mine experience!), and plenty of fresh air and variety ensures your family will relax and unwind together.

Accommodation: Hassness House, Buttermere is located far from Lakeland's tourist 'honey pots' in the Western Lake District. Beautifully situated in its own grounds, it offers a haven of tranquillity. A unique and secluded gem in the Lake District, from here you'll look out onto some of the loveliest country in the Western Fells, recently voted one of the most picturesque views in Britain. Accommodation is in twin-bedded and single rooms with hot and cold water and spotlessly clean showers are just down the hall. There are twelve rooms at Hassness House and you can be sure that you will be well looked after by your hosts Paula and Mickey. |
Supplementary Information: Don't forget you'll have the full services of our fully trained and child-friendly hiking leader throughout your stay ensuring that you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday. All leaders will have first aid training. Be assured, it's your holiday and so you really can set your own agenda. Join in with the days' walking and the afternoon activities if you want to or take a day or two for time on your own with your family. Your leader will be full of ideas to inspire you or you can simply kick back and relax! |
